If you believe that your Intellectual Property rights are being violated by the use of any Plex Service, contact us. The notice must include (1) an identification of the allegedly infringing content; (2) an identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, and/or an explanation of how you believe your rights are being infringed; (3) your contact information, including full name, telephone number, company, mailing address, and email address, each of which must be true and valid; (4) your signature in either electronic or physical form; and (5) the following statements:
- “I swear under penalty of perjury that I am the owner of the identified copyrighted content or I am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.”
- “I swear under penalty of perjury that the information in this notification is accurate.”
- “I have a good faith belief that the use of the identified copyrighted content is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.”
Upon receipt of the notice, Plex will take whatever action, in its sole discretion, it deems appropriate, such as contacting the user that is hosting the allegedly infringing content, removing the content, or suspending an account of the user. In some cases, if Plex receives a counter-notice from the user, then Plex may restore availability of the content.
