Ready to give it a whirl? First, make sure you’re signed into Plex. Next, head over to our rental library in Movies & Shows, make your selection, then rent directly on almost all your favorite platforms and smart TVs. We’ve listed them out here in our support article, in case you want to take a peek.
In the very slight possibility that your smart TV or device is not supported, you can always head over to the Plex web app using your phone, tablet, or computer, then go to the Movies & Shows tab on the left and choose the movie you want from Rentals. Voila, you’re all set. Once you rent the movie on the web app, you can watch it anywhere you’ve installed a supported Plex app. Yep, even on devices that don’t allow direct rentals on their platform.
One little thing though. Rentals are only available in the US right now. So to the rest of the world, our sincere apologies. We’ll definitely let you know if and when we roll out to other countries. 🤞

I Feel the Need—the Need for Rentals!
Rentals are priced anywhere from $3.99 USD and up. (That’s less than a latte at your corner coffee shop. And let’s not even get into talking about gas prices.) Once you rent a movie, you’ve got 30 days to begin watching it. And when you do start playback, you have 48 hours to finish watching it (or rewatch it as many times as you want—we would too!). So if you need to take a break to let your heart stop pounding during the new Mission Impossible, we’re here for it.

That’s pretty much it. Every day we’re adding new movies to our rental library. So take a peek, every time you get a chance. Not ready to rent? Just add it to your Watchlist on Plex for when you’ve got the time, or when it becomes available to watch (here or anywhere in the streaming universe.)
