Todayyyyy’s the day. In preview since last fall, and starting to roll out today for our mobile app, this experience is designed to bring all the entertainment you love (and friends too) together in exciting new ways. While there wasn’t a treacherous trek across Middle-earth or a possessed ring involved, there was most certainly a dedicated team of Plexians guiding this new experience to its final destination: your screen. And we’re not gonna lie—this moment lives right up there with Aragorn’s coronation in The Return of the King. Yes, we went there. (If you don’t see the new update available on your mobile device right now, be patient. It will be rolling out to all users over the course of the next week.)

Our mission at Plex is to create a global community where everyone can discover, experience, and share all of the entertainment that matters to them. This rebuilt experience is just another way we’re staying true to our mission. Here’s what you can expect when you open the updated Plex experience on mobile:
First Launch on Mobile, Then Straight on ‘Til Morning
While the new experience is initially going live for Plex on mobile, the work continues on the preview for our TV platforms as well as improvements, new functionality, and additional parity items on mobile. This includes even more updates based on feedback we’ve received from users during the preview period.
